I've included a link to the 10/20/11 post on the CARDS Create blog, so that you can click through for the details. You'll need to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the post for details on how to participate in the challenge.
I started by clear embossing the tree image on my panel. Then I sponged it with More Mustard, Really Rust and Cranberry Crisp inks to get a very soft variation of colors. The sentiment is stamped in Cranberry Crisp. I stitched this panel onto a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock, then adhered it all to a base of Creamy Caramel card stock. To finish the card, I added a few gems. That's about it! Thanks so much for taking a look.
Supplies:
card stock: creamy caramel, cherry cobbler (Stampin' Up!)
ink: more mustard, really rust, cranberry crisp (SU)
stamps: happy thanksgiving (Stampabilities), leaves of a tree (SU)
other: versamark (Tsukeniko), clear embossing powder (Stampendous), gems (The Paper Studio), sponge dauber (SU), heat tool, thread, sewing machine
Another beautiful card Susie! Love how you have clear embossed the tree and then added colour!
ReplyDeleteSusie, this is gorgeous! I love the subtle variation of colors with the emboss resist. We both had emboss resist on our minds for our fall cards today but yours is dynamite!
ReplyDeleteSusie, your card is simply stunning. There is definitely beauty in simplicity!
