I'm playing along at retro sketches #5 with this card. They are a new challenge blog. I'm thinking they'll be around for a long time, because they have GREAT sketches!
Take a look at this weeks sketch challenge ~
And my card ~
I went kind of vintage/shabby with this card. The woven trim and the buttons are part of a stash that I bought at an estate auction. You'd be surprised what you can find at auctions. IF you have the patience to wait for hours, sometimes! This time it was worth it :)
I used Papertrey Ink dies for the butterfly and the round elements. I layered card stock under each one to give me a thicker embellishment. I'll list my supplies below.
Thanks so much for taking a look!
What's in it?
card stock: pool party, blushing bride (Stampin' Up!)
patterned paper: lost & found - market street 6 x 6 pad (My Mind's Eye)
ink: onyx black (Versafine)
stamps: signature greetings (Papertrey Ink)
other: love lives here die collection (PTI), buttons and woven trim from an estate auction
Oh man, you're on a roll today! This is beautiful too! I love these sketches as well, but I think this week I am going to run out of time. I wish we could go to an auction together---I love them too!
