CASology - the Cue Card is Autumn
CAS-ual Fridays - CFC115: Fall Colors & a Leaf
Here is my take on both challenges.
I found this leaf on our front lawn late last summer and thought it was beautiful. It's extremely fragile and thin.
I had no idea what I would do with it, until just a few days ago when I saw the challenge theme at CAS-ual Fridays. Use a leaf? Of course!
Since this leaf would never survive the postal service, I knew I wanted to use it on a card that I would deliver in person. What better recipient than my husband? Our Wedding Anniversary is coming up in a few days. So....I actually get to keep my lacy leaf card. It's a win-win situation, don't you think?
Anyway. In order to protect the leaf AND cover as little of it as possible, I used a piece of clear card stock (acetate) over the leaf. When I adhered the sentiment panel, I used scor-tape beneath that area of the acetate to adhere it all to my card base. By the way, fragile leaves and static-y acetate are bit challenging to work with. Trust me.
Thanks so much for taking a look!
