hello - Watercolor Class Day 1
I'm taking my first Online Card Class - Watercolor for card makers. I've heard such good things about the classes at OCC in the past, and I've wanted to participate, but I have so little time to spare.
When this class popped up in my Inbox though...I just had to sign up. I haven't been able to keep up with the classes each and every day, but I'm really glad I jumped in this time. I'm learning SO much!
In this post I'm sharing my card for Day 1 - Watercolor Backgrounds
My first attempt ended up in the wastebasket. That's ok. After a bit of practice, this is what I created.
Those blocks of color were created using a technique that Laura Bassen taught us. This was a lot of fun!
After stamping my sentiments, I popped up the watercolor panel on the card base with foam tape. A few sequins finish off the card.
I'll be back soon with a couple of cards for Day 2. Thanks for stopping in!

Susie, I love the colors you used on your card. Do you remember which colors you used. I love the dark to light and then the blue again in the upper right hand corner. Good Job.
ReplyDeleteThis is great, Susie. My first panel didn't do so well but I managed another one. It does take practice.
